This large fireplace grate made of durable cast iron will not only last for years, but will keep your burning logs from rolling out your fireplace, while you add more logs when needed. Our fireplace grates feature a deep contoured design with ends to hold firewood securely, while allowing air to freely circulate underneath and encouraging the fire to burn evenly; protecting the fireplace from direct contact with flames. These cast iron fireplace grates have optional sections that can be added. Each extra grate section is self supporting and will increase the width of the grate by 7". These grates work very well in conjunction with the firebacks and fireback boots.
