When a traditional fireplace would seem out of place, the Loft Series of contemporary burners complement the unique decor you worked so hard to achieve. The Loft Series Burner installs in any certified vent-free firebox or wood-burning fireplace to help complete your artistic statement. It operates as a vent-free system for heating or can be installed in a vented fireplace to provide the ambiance of a fire but without the heat.

This vent-free system uses room air for combustion and delivers 99.9% of the available heat energy directly to the room. Built in safety features include a Oxygen Depletion Sensor which instantly shuts off the valve if oxygen in the room drops to an unsafe level.

Your vent free Loft burner comes with 2 control systems to choose from:
The Millivolt system that includes an On/Off Switch but can also be controlled with Empire remote controls and thermostats (sold separately).
If you are interested in electronic ignitions the Intermittent Pilot system includes a Thermostat Variable Remote that sets and maintains room temperature and controls flame height.
The Millivolt-10K BTU system is for bedroom applications (where allowed by code).

Decorative accessories not included are Decorative Tops in Black and Stainless Steel, Crushed Fire Glass, Decorative Rocks, Pebbles, Drops and Droplets.
Decorative media required to cover burners: 18" - 1.75 sq.ft, 24" - 2 sq.ft and 30" - 2.5 sq.ft. Additional media may be used to cover fireplace floor.

A Vent-Free/Vented Burner may be installed in a vented fireplace (with the flue damper blocked open) for use as a decorative appliance. A decorative appliance operates with an on/off switch or remote, and may not operate with a thermostat. For a Intermittent Pilot burner in a vented application, replace the included Thermostat Remote with an on/off switch or remote.

To protect all things on or above your mantel you can add an Adjustable Hood that acts as a heat shield.
